Under AES Expo in San Francisco, introduced its new Focal professional and flexible monitoring system SM9.
SM) combines two sets of monitors within the same box. The system is composed of 1 inverted tweeter 1 "pure Beryllium, a midrange driver, 6.5", a bass driver 8 "passive radiator and a 11."
Using the side panel buttons, the user can assign the display in three modes of operation called Stand By, Direct and Focus.
Focus mode activates a monitoring scheme of 2-way crossover separately from the whole scheme of 3-way monitor.
Direct Mode lets skip the EQ section to get a cleaner signal and direct.
Stand By mode mutes the monitor and reduce energy consumption.
Amplification was divided into three independent ways of Class AB amplification: 400W (woofer), 100 W (range) and 100 W (tweeter).
The input stage has several adjustments to offset any anomaly in the room with the aim of optimizing the response of the monkeys. Six knobs on the rear panel to provide shelving filters bass and treble, variable EQ filters for low and middle midrange EQ, and a flexible hi-pass filter.
